Yesterday's Wake Up Call.

So I haven't been feeling well these past few days, just the cold thing that is going around. It has made me a pretty grumpy person to be around. So when I woke up yesterday to what I thought was our neighbors' car alarm going off at 8:00 in the morning I was not a happy camper. I stayed in bed for a minute or two hoping that the alarm would go off, but it didn't, so I got out of bed wearing my boxers and 'Sugarcult' t-shirt and told myself I was going to go over there and give them an earful (everyone and their mom knows that I would have gotten as far as my front door and chickened out).

You can imagine my surprise though when I walk out in my kitchen and there is an accident in my front lawn/street in front of my house. The two individuals were out of their cars walking around, but the horn from one of the cars was stuck in the on position! Off in the distance I could hear sirens and eventually 2 sheriffs pulled up, a firetruck, and an ambulance. I stood and watched for a bit, from the comfort of my own kitchen window, then went back to bed.

I guess a cold isn't that bad after all. I'll take it over a totaled car anyday.
